Space – the feature which allowed even the least sensitive of further developments to merge into the townscape was the amount of space available. With a build ratio of between four and six to the acre, and if the dedicated open space is included a total site of 0.4 acres each, the bungalows inherited an invaluable opportunity. With the new estates planned to take the Milton Keynes population towards ½ million planned at 20 or more dwellings per acre this is an opportunity which is no longer available!
