14. Door Lintels



In common with the windows, doors will have lintels of brick or stone. Brick lintels can be flat-arched, segmental or semi-circular.

Stone lintels are often painted as an original treatment and have a simple motif carved in the stone. However, the stone used can be good quality Bath stone and does not need painting.
