The Memorial Hall was built in 1924 and commemorates the men connected to the village who gave their lives in the Great War.

They are listed on plaques on the outside of the Hall, in the village church of St Lawrence and in St James Church in New Bradwell .

The “Little Soldier” in the cemetery at Lugg’s Lane on the outskirts of New Bradwell is another reminder of them.

Photos of the plaques can be found at the Buckinghamshire Remembers website.

We hope to bring some of these names to life, such as information about their dates of birth, parents and locations when the 1911 census was taken. If you have photos of any of these people do please get in touch.

The Milton Keynes branch of the Western Front Association may be another source of information.
