CASTLETHORPE v. BRADWELL OLD BOYS
Castlethorpe gained a splendid win over Bradwell Old Boys last Saturday. The Old Boys won the toss and batted first, being all out for 38 runs, the chief scorers being Dunkley 7 and Collyer 9. H. Powell and H. Cook bowled well for Castlethorpe and this pair opened the batting for Castlethorpe. Runs were very hard to get, Cook was out to a brilliant one-handed catch by Jerham, who was applauded for a smart piece of work. The bowling began to weaken and the bowlers were hit about as the score of 136 for 5 wickets suggests, and which is the highest score Castlethorpe have made for two seasons. The losers tried no less than six bowlers. All the Castlethorpe batsmen did well, especially A. Scott, who was the youngest player in the team. Scores:
