This was the first District event of its kind that had been organised and the idea was to give the Cub Scouts the experience of walking in the countryside in the evening. 1st Olney Leaders had organised the route around Clifton Reynes using the Public House as the starting and finishing point of the ramble.

Packs walked as a unit supervised by Leaders and Supporters along the public footpaths in this part of North Buckinghamshire. Some Cub Scouts from other packs in our District found the walk too much but our lads completed what to them was a leisurely stroll in the gathering dusk.

The District Packs enjoyed the event and it was agreed that it should be held every year as it was especially constructive to those Packs who never seem to explore the countryside outside of Milton Keynes.
