Castlethorpe's senior citizens had a treat when the local W.I. laid on a slap-up supper and entertainment in the Village Hall on Saturday.
There was soup, chicken salad and a sweet, and the Vicar the Rev. A.F. Otter sat down with some 60 guests. Our photographer had to wait for the soup course to finish, because the W.I. members were shooting around like Lyons "Nippies". However when the "Nippies" settled down for their soup, it was possible to take some pictures. And there was no need to say "smile please" the smile were already there
