Richard Atterberry 1605
In the name of god amen the twentieth daie of maie in the yeare of our lord god a thousand six hundred and three. I Richard Atterbery of Haversham in the County of Bucks husbandman beinge weake and sicke in bodie but whole in mynde and of good memory, I praise almightie god therefore, do make ordaine and constitute this my present last will and testament in manner and forme followinge. ffirst I comiyt my soule to Almightie god my maker and redeemer, and my bodie to be buried in the church or churchyard of Haversham aforesaid, at the discretion of my executrix herafter named. Item I give and bequeath unto Letties Gyfford my daughter twentie shillings to be paide unto her within one whole yeare next after my decease, Item I give and bequeath unto Hester Gyfford daughter of the said Letties a paire of hempen sheets together with a flaxen sheete, Item I give and bequeath unto Jane Russell an other of my daughters twentie shillings to be delivered unto her within a yeare next after my decease Item I give unto Geffery Russell sonne of the said Jane Russell tenn shillings to be paide unto him within a yeare next after my decease. Item I give and bequeath unto Anne Pleatwood an other of my said daughters twentie shillings to be delivered unto her within a yeare next after my decease, Also I give unto the same Anne one paire of hempenn sheets and a flaxen sheete to be delivered as aforesaid Item I give unto John Pleatwood the eldest sonne of the said Anne, tenne shillings to be paid unto him within a yeare next after my decease. Item I give to George Atterbury the sonne of Robert Atterbery, tenne shillings to be delivered unto him within a yeare next after my decease, Item I give unto Johane Bradshewe my daughter a paire of hempen sheets and unto her sonne John Bradshewe tenne shillings to be delivered unto him within a yeare after my decease as aforesaid. All the residue of my goods and chattels bothe moveable and unmoveable my debts paid and funeral expences discharged, I give unto Elizabeth Atterberry my daughter whom I make and ordaine my only sole and lawfull executrix of this my present last will and testament; In wittnesse whereof I the said Richard Atterberry have to these presencs put my hand and marke and have caused my name to be subscribed in the presence of these witnesses here underwritten John Byrd Robert Revys Anthonie ffoster x William Dorman his marke
