May the tenth one thousand seven Hundred and sixty one
In the Name of God Amen I Elizabeth Crook of Haversham in the County of Bucks being ill in Body but perfect in memory and understanding thanks be to God Do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following First I do Recommend my soul to God that gave it my Body to the Earth to be decently buried by my Executrix as for my worldly Goods as follows. Imprimis. I Give to my Nephew Thomas Crook of Denshanger son of my late Brother William Crook one Guinea in money and my Bed bedding and bedstead Item to Hannah Crook half a Guinea and my long Cloak and Hood. To Ann Crook half a Guinea and my Gold ring To Rhoda Crook half a Guinea To Rebkah Crook half a Guinea And to John Crook half a Guinea These are the six Children of my late Brother William Crook of Lechhamstead in the County of Buckingham Item I Give to my two Nieces Elizabeth and Mary Crook the two Daughters of my late Brother Thomas Crook of Polloxhill in the County of Bedford as follows Viz. to Elizabeth Crook half a Guinea and my Green silk Gown. To Mary Crook half a Guinea and my Chest of Drawers Lastly I make and appoint my sister Sarah Hawkins of Calverton in the County of Bucks sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the year and Day above written The marke of Elizabeth Crook. Probate Proved the 7th day of May 1762. before the Reverend John Taylor Doctor of Laws Archdeacon of the Archdeaconry of Bucks by the Oath of Sarah Hawkins sole Executrix To whom Administration was committed she being first sworn duly to administer
