In the name of god Amen in the yeare of our lord god 1613 the 29 of december. I John ffoster of Haversham in the Countie of Bucks gentleman beinge weake in bodie but whole in mynde and of good and perfect remembrance doe make my last will and testament in manner and forme folowinge first I bequeath my soule to allmightie god hoping assurely to be saved, by the only merits of my lord and saviour Jesus christe and my bodie to christian buriall in assured hope that the same shallbe raysed agayne to ever lasting liefe at the resurection of the righteous Item I Give and bequeath to my sonne Anthony all my parte of all those things which he and I together bought of Mr Francis Pigott Alsoe my free house, my shod cart and my table which is in the parlor with formes and stooles belonging to it and a chaire Allsoe my mault mill and my furnace standinge in the kitchin Allsoe my plough and my parte of horse geeres and plough timber Allsoe all my parte of all kind of corne pease and beanes in the barne and on the hovels and hay straw and fodder provided that my other sonnes have soe much foder out of it as shall serve for this winter, to norashe the beasts and catle and sheepe as I shall bequeath them untill the first of May next ensuing the date hereof. Item I give and bequeath to my sayd sonne Anthony my parte of the winter corne that is allredy sowne and my geate chest: Item I give and bequeath to each of my sonne Anthonyes children a shep Item I give and bequeath to Mary the daughter of my sonne Anthony a calfe which is about a forthnight olde at the time of the weaninge thereof Item I give and bequeath to my sonne Robert the bedsted and testar over it in the chamber wher I now lie, allsoe two pied kine a yearling steare my horse coult and my cloake, Item I give and bequeath unto my sonne Thomas the bed that I now lie in with the bolster ij pillows the curtaynes and allsoe the sheets wherin I lie allsoe a brasse pot and a pewter platter allsoe my pied heifer my thre yeare ould steare and my two yeare ould heifer allsoe my mare coult and my sadle: Item I give and bequeath unto my sonne Christofer a bedsted that is without a testar which is in the maydes chamber and my great pann and a pewter platter alsoe two kine the one whereof is a finched Cow and the other a chrum horne cow and my yearling heifer allsoe the calfe of the finched cow and my mare Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Eliza: Simons ij shep Item I give and bequeath to the iij children of my sonne christofer each of them a sheepe. Item I give and bequeath to my sonnes Robert Thomas and Christofer xxxxs which is in the hand of John Oliver of Hanslop that and noe other and the some to be by equall proportions devided betweene them. Item I give and bequeath unto my sayd thre sonnes my halfe of the hens of this last yeare to be equally devided betweene them Item I give and bequeath Unto my sayd three sonnes each of them ij sheepe and my will is that these sheepe and all the rest before bequeathed shall be of the sheepe which I nowe have and possesse and noe other. Item I give and bequeath unto my sayd thre sonns Robert Thomas & Christofer all that linen which my wife before her decease wished unto them soe I doe confirme that which then she with consent bequeathed them Item I give and bequeath to the pore of Haversham vjs viijd.
