William Sharples 1844

This is the last Will and Testament of me William Sharples now residing at Haversham in the County of Bucks Engine Driver I give and bequeath two of my five old quarter shares in the capital stock or funds of the London and Birmingham Railway Company unto my friends Thomas Owen of Curzon Street Birmingham Engine Driver and William Kennedy of Wolverton in the county of Bucks Accountant upon trust to pay the interest dividends and annual produce of the same two quarter share unto Ann Lovell the daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth Lovell of Haversham aforesaid spinster for and during her natural life for her sole and private use and benefit whose receipt alone shall be a sufficient discharge to my said trustees for the same interest dividends and produce not withstanding any future coverture of the said Ann Lovell and from and after her decease upon trust for my brother Henry Sharples of Edge Hill Liverpool to whom I do give and bequeath the same I give and bequeath two other of my old quarter shares in the said capital stock or funs of the London and Birmingham Railway Company to my Sister Mary Ann the wife of William Bennett of Kirkham in the County of Lancaster and I give and bequeath all my other Railway shares monies securities for money goods chattels Personal Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature sort or kind so ever after payment of my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses unto and to the use of my said brother Henry Sharples his executors and administrators And I nominate constitute and appoint the said Thomas Owen and William Kennedy executors of this my Will and I do hereby declare that my said executors and the survivor of them and the executors and administrators of such survivor shall and may at all times and out of the monies that may come to their or either of their hands reimburse and indemnify themselves and himself respectively all such costs damages charges and expenses as their he or either of them may be put to unto or sustain in and about the execution of the trusts of this my Will and that neither of them shall be answerable for any loss which may happen to the said trust premises unless they are same shall happen by or through his or their wilful neglect or default nor for any loss which may happen from deposit he any of the said trust money in the hands keeping or had custody of any Banker nor the one for the other of them neither shall either of them be answerable for more monies than shall actually come into his hands by virtue of this my will And hereby revoking and making void all former or other Will and testaments In witness whereof I the said William Sharples have to this my last will and testament set my hand the 29 day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty three
William Sharples signed by the said testator William Sharples and acknowledged by him to be his last will and testament in the presence of us present at the same time and subscribed by us in the presence of the said testator and of each other John Sharp Henry Harris

Proved At Chester in common form of law of the fourteenth day of June 1844 one thousand eight hundred and forty four by Thomas Owen and William Kennedy the executors therein named the eight (no further text on the document).
