Catherine Knapp 1794

Whereas Catherine Uthwat late of Great George Street in the Parish of Saint George Hanover Square in the county of Middlesex widow deceased late Mother of me Catherine Knapp Wife of Matthew Knapp of little Linford in the County of Bucks Esquire did in and by her last Will and Testament in Writing bearing the date on or about the sixth day of September One thousand seven hundred and sixty four I give and bequeath unto her Nephews Daniel Malthus and George Eckersall therein named the Sum of One thousand pounds for the sole and separate use of me the said Catherine Knapp and did also by her said Will give unto her said Nephews all her Books at Little Linford or elsewhere or her plate together with all the rest and residue of her Real and Personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever unto her said Nephews Daniel Malthus and George Eckersall their Heirs Executors and Administrators In Trust for the sole and separate use of me the said Catherine Knapp and after my decease for such person or persons as I should by any Writing appoint And Whereas the said George Eckersall have since departed this life Now these Presents Witness that by the said Catherine the Wife of the said Matthew Knapp by virtue of the power to me given in and by the above in part recited Will and of all and every other power in me now being do hereby direct limit and appoint all the Household Goods Furniture Linen and all of the China both the useful for an Ornamental late of the said Catherine Uthwat deceased and part of the Residue of her Estate (the Silver plate excepted) from and immediately after my decease to my said Husband Matthew Knapp and do hereby direct and appoint the said that annual Malthus his Heirs Executors and Administrators to deliver the same to him accordingly And I do hereby direct and appoint all the Books so given me by the Will of the said Catherine Uthwat and the Large Silver Tea Table other part of the residue of the personal Estate of the said Catherine Uthwat from and immediately after my decease unto my Eldest Daughter Sophia to be delivered to her by the said Daniel Malthus his Heirs Executors  or Administrators at her Age of twenty one Years or day of Marriage which shall first happen but if my said Daughter Sophia shall die before she shall attain her Age of twenty one Years unmarried then I do hereby direct and appoint all the said Books to my Youngest Daughter Harriott Knapp her Executors Administrators and Assigns the said Books to be delivered to her at her Age of twenty one Years by the said Daniel Malthus his Heirs Executors or Administrators and then and in such Case I also direct and appoint the said Silver Tea Table to my said Youngest Daughter Harriott Knapp to be delivered to her at her Age of twenty one Years or day of Marriage which shall first happen by the said Daniel Malthus his Heirs Executors or Administrators And I do hereby direct and appoint after my decease the said One thousand pounds so devised to me by the said Catherine Uthwat and also all the rest and residue of the Real and Personal Estate of the said Catherine Uthwat not herein before by me disposed of and all the Stocks and Funds where in the same shall or may be then invested unto my said Youngest Daughter Harriot Knapp to be paid and transferred and delivered to her by the said Daniel Malthus his Heirs Executors or Administrators at her Age of twenty one Years or day of Marriage which shall first happen and in case my said Daughter Harriot shall depart this life before she shall attain her Age of twenty one Years unmarried then I do hereby direct and appoint the said One thousand pounds and the said rest and residue of the said Real and personal Estate of the said Catherine Uthwat undisposed of to my said Daughter Sophia to be paid transferred and delivered to her by the said Daniel Malthus his Heirs Executors or Administrators at her Age of twenty one Years or day of Marriage which shall first happen and in case both my said Daughters Sophia and Harriot shall depart this life before they shall attain their respective Ages of twenty one Years unmarried then I had do hereby direct and appoint the said Silver Tea Table and all the rest of the Silver plate late of the said Catherine Uthwat deceased part of the said rest and residue of the said Real and personal Estate of the said Catherine Uthwat undisposed of to my Cousin Thomas Probyn Esqr fourth Son of my Cousin Sophia Probyn of Newland in the County of Gloucester and then also I hereby direct and appoint the said one thousand pounds and the said rest and residue of the said Real and Personal Estate of the said Catherine Uthwat deceased not herein before disposed of and the Stocks and Funds wherein the same shall be then invested to my Cousin Charlotte Staples Daughter of my late Great Uncle Charles Staples her Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns two and for her and their own proper use and benefit for ever In Witness whereof I the said
