In the name of god amen in the yere of our lord god 1559 on the second day of ffebruary and in the first yere of the reigne of our sovergne Lord Elisabeth by the grace of god Quene of England ffrance and Ireland etc Witneseth that I William Wood of Litel Linford within the countie of Bucks husbandman being syke in body but thankes be unto God whole in remembrance dothe make this my Laste will and testament in manner and forme folowing ffirst I beqth my soule unto almyghtie God hoping to be saved by the merites of his passion and my body to be buryd in my parish churche yard of Haversham Item I will and beqth to the mother churcheof Linford ijd Item I will and bequeath unto Linford brige on acar of barley and also acare of wod Item I will and beqth to ffrances Wood my syster al the moveable goodes within my howse also I geve unto ffrances ij coltes ij shepes and all my pultre aboute my yard also I beqth to ffrances on heckfore on acar of whete j acar of barley on acar of peace to be Tylled sowed mowed and carid at the xx costes and charge of Richard Rive with her owne labor also my goodes unbequethed I bequeth unto my brother Richard Rive whom I make sole executor of this my laste will and testament and also I geve him the Tack of my farme at hanslopp with other thinges and I make my uncle Waryn of hav[sham] supervisor to see al thinges performed and he to have for his paynes iijs iiijd being wittnes John Sibthorp … Jo Warren Jo Ellis with other men
