2018 marks one-hundred years since the passing of the Representation of the People Act 1918, the piece of legislation that enabled many women to vote in general elections for the first time.  This right was hard-won: in the years running up to 1918 many women and men participated in suffrage rallies and marches.  We would like to invite families to mark this by coming and making protest signs with us at Milton Keynes Central Library.
