Ken Doughty is the founding member of the Society of Brushmakers’ Descendants and has written books and articles for family history magazines on the subject.

He started his family research in 1989 and discovered brushmakers amongst his ancestors. He uncovered so many forgotten facts about brushmakers that in 1993 he started the Society for those with brush and broom makers in their ancestry. This talk gives insights into Ken’s research and the lives of brush and broom makers.
