Andrew Tennet’s father volunteered in February 1940, serving until March 1946. He was part of the original British Expeditionary Force and had to escape from occupied France. In the build up to D-Day, he was assigned to Montgomery’s staff. The documents and photographs he collected give a real insight to the day-to-day life of the ordinary soldier, and how his wife coped with a growing family while he was serving abroad.

The scheduled talk has had to be cancelled at the last minute, so a talk scheduled for next year has been brought forward.

Visitors are welcome at all meetings.
