This photograph from c.1917 -20 shows the fountain surrounded by flower beds and cyprus trees, and also to the left another huge tree - all now gone. In the background is the church.

The fountain was made c.1850-60. The base is a rock and the fountain itself is made from lead. Three dolphins are entwined so their tails form a shallow cup on which stand two children holding the spout. There are goldfish in the fountain pool - notice the copper wires above the water, there to stop the herons having a feast!
