Artist unknown, painted c.1800's. Sold to the college in c.1930 by an antique dealer. Shows the south west side of the house as it would have looked in the 1500's. River Ouse in foreground. The upper half of the tower was definately rebuilt in the 1850's.

How the house is thought to have looked in the 1750's

Georgian view of the house. Artist unknown. View from the south east. As rebuilt by Dr. Cotton in the 1750's. Painting sold to the college in c.1930 by an antique dealer as did the previous painting and is presumed to be by the same artist. Both paintings are in the entrance hall.
