Bill Lambert
B. Pittam February 2007
Throughout the 19th century there were many Lambert families in the village, now we come down to the last Lambert in the village, Bill who was 92 last December. Although he was not born in the village as such, but in an outlying farmhouse known as Badger’s Farm as his father was a shepherd for a local farmer, probably Harry Weston at that time. All his ancestors in the 19th century were residents of Yardley Gobion as can be seen below along with some photographs. Is this family related to the others somewhere? Who were the first Joseph’s brothers?
