WE NEED YOUR HELP
WITHOUT YOU THE WEBSITE WILL NOT SURVIVE.

If you want Kingsmead to develop an identity instead of being just a housing estate, do something about it. Those of you who were at the Parish Council meeting at the end of February will be aware that the only way we are going to get community facilities is to make a loud enough noise. Kingsmead has been neglected for too long but to a large extent it is because the residents have let it happen. One thing is for certain and that is "they" (MK Council, English Partnerships, the Developers) won't do anything unless we make a noise. You have already seen the result of making an effort in the decision to relocate the proposed local centre. A small victory maybe, but without local voices being raised, the original plan would have gone through unopposed.
WHAT DO YOU DO FOR RELAXATION?

Do you have an interest or hobby that you would like to share? Photography, model railways, music, painting, jogging, knitting, ice skating, potholing, bell ringing, the list is endless - tell the rest of us about it - who knows, there might be someone else who shares your interest living just round the corner.

WHAT CAN WE DO AS A COMMUNITY?

Do you have ideas for community activities? car boot sale, street party, book club, music club, social evenings, wine club, theatre visits, residents association or simply getting to know your neighbours.

Some of you may remember the Queen's Golden Jubilee celebrations - the fête on the field that is now Saltwood Avenue or the street party in Monmouth Grove. Here are just a couple of pictures as a reminder. Has anyone got others that they can share? Wouldn't it be great if we could make this sort of thing an annual event?
