BEAUCHAMP 1213 -1396 and 1399 1450 Sir William Maudit’s heir as 9th Earl of Warwick was his nephew (son of his sister Isabel), William Beauchamp. He held the Manor until his death in 1298, when he was succeeded by his son Guy, who died in 1315, leaving as heir an infant son Thomas. The Manor was assigned in dower to Guy's widow Alice, who died in 1324. Thomas Beauchamp, Earl of Warwick, settle this manor in 1344 and died in 1369. He was succeeded by his son Thomas, who was imprisoned in the Tower for high treason in 1396, his estates being forfeited. Thomas Earl of Warwick was reinstated in all his possessions on the accession of Henry IV, and dying in 1401, was succeeded by his son Richard. In 1423, the Manor was settled on him and his second wife Isabel le Despencer, Countess of Worcester. He died in April 1493 and she a few months later. Their son Henry succeeding , was created Duke of Warwick in 1445, and died in 1446, when the dukedom became extinct, but his other honours passed to his infant daughter Anne. In 1447 the Manor was granted in dower to the Duke's widow Cecily, who died in 1450, her daughter Anne Countess of Warwick having preceased her. The Manor reverted to Richard Nevill and his wife Anne ( sister of Henry Duke of Warwick), who shortly before had been created Earl and Countess of Warwick.
