CASTLE THORPE is a small parish and village, in the Hundred and Union of Newport Pagnell, from which place it is 5 miles east-north-east, 3 from Stoney Stratford north, 11 miles from Northampton, and 3 north from Wolverton station on the London and Birmingham line of railroad. The church, standing in the centre of the village, is ancient with very low square tower, in the patronage of the Corporation of Linclon, archdeaconry of Buckingham, diocese of Oxford. Rev. Mark Anthony Nicholson, M.A. of Hanslope, is the incumbent, and William Watts, Esq., patron and lord of the manor. Acres, about 1,000.
