Phelix Benson (Bensonne) 1630

In the name of God Amen ye tenth day of December and in ye year of our Lord God 1621 I Phelix Bensonn of Castell Thrupp within the Countie of Bucks being of good and perfect memory thanks be to allmightie god doe Constitute ordaine and make this my last will and Testament in manner and forme following viz ffirst I bequeath my soule into ye hands of allmightie God my maker trusting to be saved by ye righteousness and merits of Jesus Christ my onely Saviour and redeemer and my body to [Christian] buriall expecting a glorious resurrection as Considering my worldly Goods I give them as followeth Item I give unto Isbell Benson my grandchild a penn [pan] Item I give unto my Grandchild ye daughter of Guy Bensonn my best kettle Item I give unto ffrancis Johnsonne one other of my Grandchildren ye bed whereon I lye Item I give unto Mary Parrat ye daughter of John Parrat my Grandchild a cubbord all ye rest of my Goods unbequeathed my debts beinge payd and my ffunerall discharged I give and bequeath unto my four children William Guy Agnes and Elsabeth equally to be divided amongst them provided nevertheless my will is that Isbell my wyfe shall have the use of all such goods before recited during hir naturall lyfe and then ye said goods shall revert and come unto them my said children as is before expressed any thing in this my last will to ye Contrary in any wise not withstanding and I do hereby make Isbell my wife my full and soule executrix of this my last will and testament and I doe appoint mark travell and Richard nicoles to be my overseers and doe give them for their paynes iiijd a peece these being witnesses by me required
