Thomas Mills 1733

In the name of God Amen the twenty Second day of May Anno Dni 1728 I Thomas Mills of Castle Throp in ye County of Bucks being in Indiferent good health of body but of Sound perfect mind and memory (blessed and praised be Almighty God for ye Same) Do make and ordain this my last will and Testament in Manner following (that is to Say) ffirst and Principally I Committ and Commend my soul into ye hands of Almighty God (who gave it me) hopeing thro’ his mercy to receive ye Salvation thereof And my body to ye earth to be decently Intered therein in ye Churchyard of Castlethrop at ye discretion of my Executors hereinafter mentioned and named And as for Such worldly goods wherewith it hath please God to bless me I give and devise ye Same as followeth Imprimes my will is that all my just debts and funeral Charges be in ye first place paid and discharged by my Executor hereafter named Item I give to Richard painter, John painter Elizabeth Ratcliffe and Mary Tooth (the Sons and daughters of my Cousen Charles painter ye Summe of ten pounds apiece if they Shall be living att ye time of my decease Itm I give to Charles Painter the son of my cozen Richard Painter ye Summe of ten pounds if he Shall be living att the time of my decease Itm I Give to Rebecca (ye daughter of my Cousen Robert Painter) ye Summ of Ten pounds if She Shell be living at the time of my decease Itm I give unto John Watts and Ann Nickels (the Son and daughter of my Cousen Ann Watts ten pounds a piece if they Shall be living att ye time of my decease Itm I give to Eleanor ye daughter of my Uncle Michael Mills) ten pounds if She Shall be living att ye time of my decease Itm I give to Elizabeth (ye daughter of my uncle Michael Mills) ten pounds if She Shall be living att ye time of my decease Itm I give to James (ye Son of my Uncle John Mills) ye Summ of ten pounds if he Shall be living att ye time of my decease but if he Shall be then dead I give ye said ten pounds to his now wife if She Shall be then living Itm I do give to Ann (ye daughter of my Uncle John Mills) five pounds if She Shall be living att the time of my decease Itm I give to John (ye Son of my Uncle Thomas Fountain) ye Summe of five pounds if he Shall be living at ye time of my decease but if he Shall be then dead I give and Devise ye said five pounds to his Son Thomas if he Shall be then alive Itm I give to Mary Thomson als Tomlin (Daughter of My Cousen Sarah Bell) the Summ of five pounds of She Shall be living att att ye time of my decease Itm I give to Thomas (ye Son of my brother Richard Hilliar) ye Summ of ten pounds if he Shall be living att ye Time of my decease Itm I give to Elizabeth ye wife of the late Roger Parratt ye Summe of five pounds if She Shall be living att ye time of my decease but if She Shall be dead I give and devise ye Same to her daughter if She Shall be then alive Itm I give to Charles ye son of my Uncle Michael Mills ye Summe of ten pounds and all my wearing apparel to hold to him and his Executors Itm my will is that all ye above mentioned Legacys be paid and discharged within ye Space and term of three yeares next after my decease And if it happen that any of ye above mentioned persons Shall dye before he or She Shall be In titled to his or her Legacy then and in Such Case I will and devise that ye part and portions of him or her So dyeing Shall come to and become the proper right of my Kinsman John Johnson Junr of Castlethrup in ye County of Bucks Itm all my Lands and tenements Scituate Standing lying and being in the parish of Castlethorpe in ye County of Bucks and all ye rest and residue of my goods and Chattels in whosever passession they be or may be found att ye time of my death I give and devise to my loveing Kinsman John Johnson Junr above mentioned to hold ye Same to him and his heirs for ever whom I make Sole Executor of this my last will and Testament here by revoking all other wills by me at any time heretofore made In Whitnesse whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and Seal ye day and year above written Thomas Mills Signed Sealed Published and declared (in ye Presence of ye Testator) to be his last will and testament in ye Presence of John Allbright Hugh Allbright Alice Dunkley
