In the name of god Amen I Johane Nicholls widow late wife of Thomas Nicholls of Castlethorpe in the Countie of buck yeoman beinge sick of body butt thanks be to Almighty god of perfect remembrance do ordayne and make this my laste will and testamente in manner and forme following viz the ix daie of Januarie in the year of our lord god one thousand six hundred and three, firste I bequeath my sole to Almightie god and my body to buryed in the parishe Churche of Castelthrope aforesaid; Item I give and bequeath to John Nicholls sonne to Thomas Nycolls my son three shepe and to Thomas Wilmot the younger three shepe and to Thomas Nicholls the younger two shepe and to William Nycolls his brother twoo shepe Itm to John Alison Richard Allyson Christopher Allison William Allyson and Thomas Allison to every one of them a shepe Itm I give and bequeath to fawor of Thomas Nicholls daughters, and to fower of Thomas Willmottes daughters nyen shepe to be equally devided amongst them Itm I geve and bequeath to ffrances Daughter of Edward penne one featherbed and to Johanne daughter of Thomas Nicholls my best coveringe Itm I give and bequeath to Alice pen my best bolster and my best hatt Itm I bequeath one great brasse pott to Johanne daughter of Thomas Willmott Itm I give and bequeath to Joann daughter of Thomas Nicholls my seconde brasse pott Itm I bequeath to Alice pen a pan which I bought of George Ashbye Itm I give and bequeath a mattories a covering a bolster and a pillow and two blankets belonging to my bed whereon I lye to the children of my daughter Alice Wilmott Itm I give and bequeath my best gown to my daughter Alice byllingston als willmott, and my best kirtle to my daughter Isabell pen and to my daughter Anne Nicholls a new kirtle and to Johanne Nicholls my best peticote Itm I give and bequeath to Agnes bryce my god doughter my second gowne Itm I give one bason to John Nicholls and my will it is it shall remayne as a standard in my house Itm I give and bequeath to three of my sonne Thomas Nicholls sonnes and to Thomas byllingston als willmott the younger to every one of them a paire of good sheets Itm I give and bequeath and will all my linens which lye in a great ark in my chamber over the hall shalbe equally devyded amongst all my childrens daughters serviving fower pair of sheets allredy devised Item I give and bequeath to my sonne Thomas Nicholls three sonnes and to Thomas Willmott the younger to every one of them two platters Itm I bequeath to Alice hale my servant a new herdon shete Itm I give and bequeath to ffrances penne and Alice pen daughters of Edward pen to eyther of them three shepe Itm all my goods and chattels moveable and unmoveable or personall not before in the will given or bequeathed I do give and bequeath to Thomas Nicholls my sonne who I do make my sole and onely executor And I do ordayne and apoynt Edward penne my sonne in law to be supervisor and overseer of this my last Will and testament In presance of these persons under written [It] and my said overseer shall have for his paynes to be taken herein iijs iiijd
