John Nicholls 1707

In the Name of God Amen the Seventeenth day of December Anno Dim 1706 I John Nicholls of Castle Thrupp in the County of Bucks being sick and weake of body but of perfect mind and memory blessed be God for the same and willing to settle in good order all my worldly affairs Doe make this my last Will and Testament in manner following (that is to say) ffirst and principally I Commend my Soule into the hands of Almighty God who gave it me And my body to the earth to be decently buryed at the Discretion of my wife and Children And as touching such worldly Estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me I give and dispose of the same in such manner as is hereafter expressed in this my last Will and Testament Imprimis I give and devise unto my loveing wife Ann Nicholls and my loveing sonn James Nicholls all that my Leasehold Land commonly Called Queens Land One Acre whereof is lying and being in Hanslopp field in the County aforesaid be the same more or lesse and is arable Land And alsoe six Acres and an halfe more thereof being arable and (be the same more or less) lying in Castle Thrupp field And also six Acres and an halfe more thereof of Lay ground and Meadowing (be the same more or less) lying in the parish of Castle Thrupp aforesaid And alsoe one barne called the Over barne and the Pikle it stands in being all my Leasehold Land with their and every of their appurtenances And alsoe all my Corn Hay Cattle of all sorts wood household goods Lumber Debts whatsoever they be and in whose hands soever To have and to hold all the above mentioned Lands Goods and premises with their appurtenances to the only propper use of my said wife and sonn their Executors and Administrators for ever Provided and upon Condition that they shall and will pay and discharge all my Debts Due to any person whatsoever And alsoe pay unto my Daughter Ann Lax the summe of Twenty pounds of Lawfull Money of England in manner following (that is to say) five pounds thereof one yeare after my decease and soe five pounds more yearely and every yeare till the said Summe of Twenty pounds shall be discharged and satisfied Item I give unto my said wife and sonn all my Carts wagons and goods of whatever kind and manner as before expressed Item I make my said wife and sonn Executrix and Executor of this my last will the marke of John Nicholls Sealed and Signed in Presence of Matthew Addams John Nicholls his marke Hugh Albright Jun
