This is the last Will and Testament of Thomas Nichols of Castle Thrupp in the County of Bucks Yeoman I resign my soul to Almighty God in humble hopes of forgiveness of all my transgressions through the mediation of my blessed redeemer I give to my son Richard his heirs and Assigns for Ever All those three Tenements in Castle Thrupp aforesaid near the Church in the several Occupations of Elizabeth Johnson William Rainbow and John Harris I also give to my son Richard Five pounds I give to my Daughter Mary Johnson Five Pounds I give to my Daughter Elizabeth Two hundred pounds I give to my son John Three hundred and fifty pounds I give to my grandson John Barratt Fifty pounds but in Case he dies in [his] Minority I give and bequeath the same to my son John I give and Devise All that Tenement situate in castle Thrupp aforesaid wherein Jane Nichols now lives the [aforesaid Jane] Nichols during her life She keeping the same in repair and at her decease I give and Devise the same to my son John his heirs and Assigns for ever I also give and devise to my said son John and his Heirs for Ever All those Five Tenements in Castle Thrupp aforesaid with their Appurtenances which I purchased of Mr. Tooth Charged and Chargable with the Payment of the Yearly sun of Twenty Pounds as hereafter mentioned I give and devise all the remainder of my Real Estate whatsoever and wheresoever to my son Thomas and the heirs of his body lawfully begotten or to be begotten and to the Issue of such Heirs and in default of such of such Issue I give and devise the same to my son John and the heirs of his body lawfully to be begotten and to the issue of such heirs and in default of such Issue to my own right heirs forever Charged also with the payment of the said Annuity of Twenty Pounds a year to my wife during her life I give to my son Thomas all the remainder of my Personal Estate of what nature soever or wheresoever and I direct that all my said son Thomas execute a Bond to my wife for the better securing here the said sum of Twenty Pounds a year payable half yearly during her life And I Constitute my said son Thomas sole Executor of this my Will hereby revoking all former Wills by me made and do ratify this Writing as and for my last Will In Witness whereof I the said Thomas Nichols have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this Eighteenth day of January in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and seve[nty] one
