William Wall 1630

In the name of God Amen the tenth day of ffebruary in the yere of our Lord god one thousand six hundred twentie nine I William Wall of Castell Thropp in the Countie of Bucks weaver being sick in bodie but perfect in memorie thanks be to allmygthie god doe constitute make and ordeyne this my last will and testament in manner and forme following; viz ffirst I bequeath my soule into the hands of Allmyghtie god my maker and to his sonne Jesus Christ my onelie Saveiour and redeemer and my bodie to proper burial expecting a glorious resurrection as Concerning my worldlie goods I give them as ffolloweth Itm I give and bequeath unto Alis My wife my best bed with all ye ffurniture thereunto belonging Item I give unto John Wall my sonne six pound thirteen shillings four pence lawfull money of our land to be paid to him one half thereof at his day of Marriage and the other half to be paid to him one yere after Itm I give unto Bridget wall my Daughter vi£ xiijs iijd like lawfull money to be paid ye one half thereof at hir day of marriage and ye other half within one yere next after Item I give unto Alis wall my youngest daughter six pounds thirteen shillings four pence of like lawful money to be paid ye one half at hir day of marriage and the other half to be paid within one yere after but if it shall happen that any of my aforesaid Children John Bridget or Alis to depart this lyfe before their porcions shalbe due and payable that then I will his or her porcion soe departed shalbe and remayne to my executor Item I give unto Thom Collison my grandchild xxs lawfull money to be paid at ye age of sixteen yeres if he be then living Item I give unto Richard Collison one other of my Grandchildren xxs like lawful money to be paid him at ye age of sixteen yeres if he be then lyvinge all the rest of my Goods Chattells lands and tenements unbequeathed my debts being paid my funerals discharged I give and bequeath unto Richard wall my sonne whom I make my onlie executor of this my last will and testament and in consideration thereof my .. executor shall bee … and mayntayne my said wife with sufficient meat drink loding and clothing during hir naturall life and if my said wife at any tyme hereafter shall dislike of hir mayntaynance being not sufficient and according to hir desire and be disposed likewise to so Jorne or live elsewhere that then my said executor shall pay unto my said wife four pounds yerely during her lyfe and to be paid quarterly at ye four usuall ffeasts in ye yere and I doe appoint Tho nicoles and mark travel my loving friends to be my overseers as my hope is in them they will and doe give them for their paynes six pence apiece In witness whereof I have set unto my hand and seale ye day and yere above written
