The field land in this town run at 9s per acre statute, because every six acres of arable have right of common upon the Moor for one cow, about 4s value; The which adds. 8s per acre value of the land. And to every ten acres of arable is one acre of sword ground. The which is mowed every year in the fields that are with corn. And usually produce one Tun of hay per acre. the which adds ablout 4s. per acre more to the value of arable lands. The cottagers are valued as the tenants paying all taxes and doing all repairs.
