Ann Bland 1679

Item I give to my said son John the sum of forty pounds to be paid by my executors within one year next after my decease provided if my said son John shall be fully satisfied and content with my foresaid legacies in lieu of what is due unto him from me as administastrix to his father & shall seal a general release to my executor of all dues and demands whatsoever upon the receipt of his said legacies but if my said son John shall refuse to do as aforesaid then I do hereby make the said legacy of forty pounds null and void.
Item I give to my daughter Ann Dove all my wearing apparel one trundle bed one brass pot. Item I give to my said daughter Ann one featherbed & bolster the best I have two pillows and one pair of blankets the best I have my best pair of sheets & the cupboard that stands in the hall.
Item I give to my said daughter Ann one box and all that is in it which I will lock up and seal up for her.
Item I give to my said daughter Ann my wedding ring two pewter dishes of the biggest sort one warming pan one kettle and one of my best milk cows.
Item I give to my grandchildren Lawrence & John Holloway five pounds apiece to be paid them when they come to some good trade.
Item I give to my grandchildren Mary & Elizabeth Holloway five pounds apiece to be paid them when they or either of them shall come to one and twenty years of age and if any of my said grandchildren shall die before their said legacy or legacies shall be due then my will is that their said legacy or legacies shall be equally divided amongst the survivors provide my said grandchildren or anyone else that shall be concerned for them & in particular that John Holloway my son in law shall make no further claim upon my executor for himself or his said children for any other dues to them belonging out of the estate of my late husband and may be charges upon me as adminastrix to the same else I do hereby revoke all my said grandchildren legacies.
Item I give to my son John Bland one blanket & one great barrel.
Item I give to my daughter Ann Dove one trough that stands in kitchen.
Item I give to my grandchild Thomas Dove one good ewe sheep.
Item I give to my grandson John Dove forty shillings.
Lastly I do make constitute & ordain my son Laurence Bland my sole executor of this my last Will & Testament to whom I give all my goods & chattels & estate whatsoever unbequeathed & my Will is that my said son Laurence shall prove this my Will or caused to be proved at the Spiritual Court for probate of wills at Northampton or else at the Preprogative Office in London within three months next after my decease. And if my said son Laurence shall refuse to do for then I do make my son John my sole executor and I do desire my good friend & kinsman Mr. Henry Carter and my son John Dove to be overseers of this my Will to whom I do give ten shillings apiece to buy them rings. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this eight and twentieth day of July in the nine & twentieth year of the reign of King Charles the second A.D.1677.
