Richard Foddy 1714

May 17th. 1714
In the name of God Amen I Richard Foddy of Alderton in the County of Northampton being though infirm in body, yet perfect memory, do make this my last Will and Testament.
I bequeath my soul to Almighty God and do order my body to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executrix hereafter named. And as for my worldly goods, I give & bequeath to Lucy Foddy my dear wife all this farm in which we live, as by lease we have now in being; Together with all the rest of my estate, real & personal, goods, chattels, credits, and all else to me belonging; for the term of her natural life. And whatsoever remains after her decease, to be divided amongst our grandchildren. And I do hereby revoke all other wills & deeds I have formerly made, declaring them to be of no force or effect. And I nominate and appoint my said wife Lucy Foddy to be sole the executrix of this my last Will & Testament.
