Richard Paratt 1561
Testament Richard Paratt Alderton Deceased.
In the name of God Amen , 3rd. day of February 1560. I Richard Paratt of Alderton in the county of Northampton being sick of body and whole of mind do make this my last Will and Testament first I bequeath my soul unto Almighty God and to all the holy company of heaven and my body to be buried in the churchyard of Alderton.
Item I will and bequeath unto the church of the aforesaid Alderton to the poor men's boys 6d.
Item I will and bequeath unto Margett and Doretye my daughters for each of them a cow also I bequeath to Isbell my daughter [illeg] 20s
Item I will and bequeath to William my son 40s that [missing] owe him and 20s besides.
Item I will and bequeath unto Ellin my daughter a cow of my wife's breading.
Item I will and bequeath that Amys Parrat my wife shall have half the stuff that is within the house and other half to be distributed between Margett, Doretye, Ellin and John.
Item I will and bequeath to John Stockes [missing] and if he will tarry with my wife this year and another then she shall give him a calf of a year old. All the rest of my goods unbequeathed I give to Amys Parat my wife and John Parrat my son whom I make my executors and they for to see my debt paid and my body brought to the ground witnesses to this my last Will and Testament Richard Penne and John Coleye the elder William Mr. Reaoo and John Stokes.
