Testament Edmund Penne Alderton
In the name of God Amen. I Edmund Penne of Alderton in the county of Northampton being sick in body and whole of mind do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following first I bequeath my soul unto Almighty God and my body to be buried in the churchyard of Alderton.
Item I give and bequeath unto Richard Penne my brother one black steer
Item I give and bequeath unto John Cannefyeld one red heifer.
Item I give and bequeath unto Barnybe Penne my brother a brown cow.
Item I give and bequeath unto Richard Swayme a han[k]ed cow, and Edward Penne my brother a red cow.
Item I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Penne a black heifer.
Item I give unto Richard Penne and Richard Swayne my brother 8 sheep.
Item I give unto the aforesaid Barnabye Penne and Edward Penne 8 sheep.
Item I give unto John Cannefyelde 2 sheep and 2s 6d or a sheep worth.
Item I give unto William Canfyeld his son a sheep or lamb.
Item I give unto William Seywell a sheep.
Item I give unto Elizabeth Penne the rest of my sheep and lambs and if it aforetime if any of the foresaid people die before such time if these my bargains be paid that then Richard Penne my brother shall have them.
Item I give unto the town of Alderton 2s 10d
Item I give unto William Holman 4d.
Item unto William Wilson 4d.
All the rest of my goods unbequeathed I give unto Richard Penne my brother whom I make my full executor to see my debts paid and all things performed of this my last Will and Testament and William Syewell to be supervisor unto this my Will and William Seywell being witness this my last Will with other men .
