In the name of God Amen the 31st day of the month of March 1567 I Richard Roo of Aldrington in the county of Northampton being sick in body never the less of good and perfect remembrance thanks be unto Almighty God do ordain and make this my present Testament and last Will in manner and form following first I bequeath my soul to Almighty God my Saviour and Redeemer to all the Holy Company of heaven and my body to be buried within the parish church of Aldrington aforesaid first I bequeath to Aldrington church 4d and also to the highway 4d.
Item I bequeath to William Reoo 13s 4d.
Item to my godson Thomas Holman 4d.
Item to Barnabie Penne 4s.
Item to Edward Penne 4s.
Item to Edmund Penne the son of Richard Penne a hoggrell.
Item to Isabell Penne a brass pot. Item to Dorithie Sorett a brass pot.
Item the rest of my goods and chattels I give and bequeath to Isabell my wife whom I make my sole executrix of my present Testament and last Will and Thomas Bristo and Robert Travell the overseers and those being witness William Reoo Richard Brodley Richard Yenies and many more.
