Frances Saunders 1647
The last Will and Testament of Frances Saunders late of Alderton in the county of Northampton widow published and declared by word of mouth in the presence of us whose names are underwritten the second day of February 1646 She being of good and perfect memory First she gave to her kinswomen Frances Saunders and Rose Saunders then or late of Blakesley in the county of Northampton aforesaid eight pounds a piece And then said that her will was that if Rose were then dead Frances should have the whole £8 Item she gave Martha Miles her kinswoman living in her house with her one hundred pounds to be paid at such time or times as the overseers of her will shall think fit and appoint Item she said that her cousin Elizabeth Webb who likewise lived with her should be her executrix and that she should maintain Thomas Alleston her poor kinsman during his life and that William Nicholls and John Bennett should be overseers of her will and should have ten shillings a piece And that every poor household in Alderton aforesaid should have two shillings and six pence a piece And that Robert Vallett her kinsman should have thirty shillings to be paid as his need require
