Elizabeth Swann 1819
This is the last Will and Testament of me Elizabeth Swan of Alderton in the county of Northampton widow as follows (that is to say) I give and bequeath unto my son Joseph Swan the sum of thirty pounds to be paid and payable by my executor herein after named within twelve calendar months next after my decease. I give and bequeath unto my two grandsons John Swan and Robert Swan (sons of my late son John Swan deceased) the sum of five pounds each to be paid and payable by my executor within twelve calendar months next after my decease. I give and bequeath unto my son Samuel Swan the sum of twenty pounds to be paid and payable by my executor within twelve calendar months next after my decease. I give and bequeath unto my grandson John Swan who lives with me ( and is the son of my son said son Joseph Swan) all the rest and residue of my personal estate of what nature kind or sort so ever the same may be or consist of to and for his own sole use benefit and advantage he thereout paying my just debts funeral expenses and the expenses of proving this my will and the aforesaid several legacies. And do hereby nominate and constitute and appoint him my said grandson John Swan last named sole executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and making void all former and other wills by me made, and I do hereby declare this to be and contain my true last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty ninth day of June in the year of our Lord One thousand and eight hundred and fifteen.

Signed sealed published and declared by the said Elizabeth Swan the Testator as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us, who at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto.

On the 13th day of April 1819 John Swan the sole executor named in the within Will was then sworn well & faithfully to fulfill the same according to law, and that goods chattels & credits of the deceased do not amount in value to the sum of One hundred pounds
