WHEREAS it hath been humbly represented unto the King that on the night of Saturday the 24th or early on the morning of Sunday the 25th of May last, some evil disposed person or persons feloniously and maliciously stabbed two cert mares, which were lying in a field in the parish of Greens Norton adjoining the hamlet of Duncott, near Towcester, in the county of Northampton, in the occupation of Mr William BURT, in consequence of which both the said mares have since died, His Majesty for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the persons concerned in the felony before mentioned, is hereby pleased to promise His most gracious pardon to any one of them (except the person who actually stabbed that said mares) who shall discover his accomplice or accomplices therein, so that he, she or they, may be apprehended and convicted thereof, and as a further encouragement, a reward of ONE HUNDRED POUNDS is hereby offered to any person (except as aforesaid) who shall discover the said offender or offenders, so that he, she or they may be apprehended and convicted of the said affence. Such reward to be paid by Mr Henry BURT of Towcester.

Re John ELLIOTT deceased. Pursuant to the Act of Parliament 22nd and 23rd Victoria Cap. 35 intitled "An Act to further amend the Law of Property and to relieve Trustees". Notice is hereby given that all persons having claims or demands upon or against the estate of John ELLIOTT late of Greens Norton in the county of Northampton, Gentleman, deceased (who died on the 15th day of November 1865 at Greens Norton aforesaid, and whose will was proved in the District Registry of Her Majesty's Court of Probate at Northampton on the 7th day of December 1865 by John Malsbury Kirby ELLIOTT of Heathencote in the parish of Paulerspury in the said county of Northampton, Gentleman, the nephew of the deceased, and one of the executors appointed in the said will) are hereby requested to send the particulars (in writing) of their claims and demands to the said John Malsbury Kirby ELLIOTT on or before the 28th day of September now next; And notice is hereby also given that after the said 28th day of September next, the said executor will proceed to distribute the assets of the said deceased among the parties entitled thereto having regard only to the claims or demands of which the said executor shall then have had notice; and further that the said executor will not be liable for the assets, or any part thereof, so distributed to any person or persons of whose claims or demands he shall not then have had notice - Dated this 28th day of July 1866.
