Edward Major 1725

Proved 9 October 1725

In the Name of God Amenn I Edward Major of Heavencut in the County of Northampton Shepard being in good health of Body and of a Sound & perfect mind and Memory Praise be therefore given unto Almighty God do make and ordain this my present Last Will and Testament in manner and form following (That is to say) First and principally I com[m]iend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God hoping through his Merits Death & Passion of my Savioer Jesus Christ to have full and free pardon and forgiveness of all my Sins and to inherit everlasting Life And my Body I Commit to thr Earth to be decently buried at discretion of my Executor hereafter Named And as touching the Disposion of all such [& Chattels]i as it hath pleased Almighty God to bestow upon me I Five and dispose thereof as Followeth Item I give to John Pudberry of Norton Five Shillings And all the Rest & Residue of my goods & Chattels I do give and bequeave unto my [xxxx]i Brother Samuell Major whom I do make Sole Executor of this my Last Will & Testament In Witness whereof I have herunto Set my hand & Seale this Twelth Day of September in the Year 1725
