In the name of God Amen the 20th. day of January in the 20th. year of the reign of our Lady Queen Elizabeth I Lewes Addington widow of Potterspurie in the county of Northampton being sick in body but in perfect remembrance thanks be given to Almighty God do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following First I bequeath my soul to Almighty God in whom is all my salvation and trust Item I will that my body be buried where my executors shall appoint in it church or churchyard of Potterspurie Item I give to the mother church of Peterborough 4d Item I give towards the repairing and maintenance of the church of Potterspurie 2s. item I give to the poor man's box 12d Item I give to every one of my godchildren 4d. Item I give and bequeath to Thomas my son my gray horse a black gelding a dun mare a shod cart and a plough a pair of harrows with the furniture of art and plough and 3 kine and 4 of the best bullocks and my hovel of wheat and rye so that he give to Anthony and Edward my sons 2 quarter of wheat and rye to be delivered between them and a hovel of barley a quarter a quarter of beans and a quarter of peas and a feather bed and a bolster 2 pillows 2 blankets and a covering with the bed head and hangings as it stands and a coffer with sheets napkins towels tablecloths standing at my bed's feet and 3 platters 3 dishes 2 saucers and 2 porringers a brass pot and a brass pan a candlestick the forth part of my wool and the forth part of my sheep and foals Item I give and bequeath to Antony my son my sorelde colt of 2 years old and 3 kine and 2 bullocks of 2 years old and a mattress a bolster 2 pillows 2 blankets and a covering and a coffer with sheets napkins towels and tablecloths as it now stands and 3 platters 3 dishes 2 saucers and 2 porringers and a brass pot a pan and a candlestick and the forth part of my wool and the forth part of my foals and £7 in money which is in William Jones hands glover of Stretforde during the years of his prentiship and if it fortune my son Anthony to die before he come out of his prentiship that then my will is that Thomas and Edward shall have the said £7 between them Item I give and bequeath to Edward my son my grey mare and 2 kine and 2 bullocks of 2 years old a mattress a bolster 2 pillows 2 blankets and a coverlet a coffer with sheets napkins towels and tablecloths standing at the chamber door 3 platters 3 dishes and 2 saucers and 2 porringers and brass pot and a bottle and a candlestick and the 4 part of my wool and the 4 part of my sheep and foals Item I give and bequeath to Richard my son a cow and 2 bullocks of 2 years old and the forth part of my wool and the 4th. part of my sheep and foals Item I give to Marye my son's daughter a pied heifer of 2 years old and a brass pot and a kettle Item I give to Catherine my son's daughter a red brindled calf of a year old a brass pot and a pan item I give to Agnes my son's daughter a cow calf of a year old a brass pot and a kettle item I give to Ales Colens my maid servant a calf of a year old Item I give to my daughter Dormans children Lewes and Richard a brockeled heifer of 3 years old so that Richarde his brother shall have the first calf of the said heifer item I give to John Parite my daughter's son a red pied ox bullock of 3 years old Item I give to Isbell Dorman my best hat and cap a gown and a petticoat and a laten bason and to her daughter Elizabeth Parite a carpet item I give to Elizabeth my son's wife a saye kirtle and a cloth kirtle Item I give and bequeath all the rest of my goods unbequeathed to Thomas my son whom I make my whole executor paying my debts and I do make my brother Kente and my brother Church overseers to this my last Will and Testament These being witness Wm Kente and Nicholas Churche and William Bowghton Richard Dorman and Roberte Bowghton with others
