Leonard Benton 1682

In the name of my Lord and my God Amen I Leonard Benton in town of Potterspury in the county of Northampton yeoman being of perfect memory but weak of body make my last will and Testament I do hereby make my dear wife and my son Leonard my full executors of this my Will and what my brother John Benton gave in his will to my middle son John Benton the sum of one hundred and twenty five pounds which I desire to paid him by my executors and I give and bequeath to my said son John Benton three score and fifteen pounds to make up his portion two hundred pounds I give and bequeath unto my son Richard four hundred pounds and I give and bequeath unto three daughters fifty pounds a piece and if my wife have another child whether boy or wench I desire it shall have equal portion to the rest of my children
