John Bland 1788
In the name of God Amen I John Bland of Potters pury in the county of Northampton carpenter being sick and weak in body but of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding do make and ordain my last will and Testament in manner following, First I commend my soul to God and my body to the earth from whence it came to be buried, trusting in the death and merits of my Lord and saviour Jesus Christ to be saved, and as for my worldly estate I dispose as follows, Item I give to my loving wife Margaret Bland all my goods chattels and moveables whatsoever and wheresoever And I also make and constitute my said wife Margaret sole executrix of this my last Will declaring this and no other to be my last Will and Testament in witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal this twenty seventh day of January in the year of our Lord 1773

On the second day of June 1788 Margaret Bland the sole executrix named in the within written Will of John Bland deceased was then at the Petition of Smith her Proctor sworn faithfully to fulfill the same and that the deceased at the time of his death was not possessed of gods and effects to the amount of three hundred pounds
