John Colvert 1819

This is the last Will and Testament of me John Colvert of Potterspury in the county of Northampton Taylor, being of sound memory and understanding, First I direct all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses to be paid And I give and devise All that my messuage or tenement and premises with the appurtenances situate and being at Potterspury aforesaid in my own occupation to my son William Colvert his heirs and assigns for ever free from payment of any Legacy or such of money heretofore charged on the same Also I give and devise All that my messuage or tenement and premises with the appurtenances situate and being at Potterspury aforesaid in the occupation of Thomas Ratliffe and William Colvert to my son John Colvert his heirs and assigns for ever Also I give and devise All that my messuage or tenement and premises with the appurtenances situate and being at Potterspury aforesaid in the occupation of Joshua Gray to my daughter Sophia the wife of the said Joshua Gray her heirs and assigns for ever And also I give and devise All that my other messuage or tenement and premises with the appurtenances situate and being at Potterspury aforesaid in the occupation of George Woodward to my grand - daughter Anna Gray her heirs and assigns for ever And I give and bequeath All and singular my goods household furniture stock in trade monies securities for money book debts chattels effects and all other my Personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever and whatever kind the same may be, Subject to the payment of my debts funeral and testamentary expenses as aforesaid, unto my said sons William Colvert and John Colvert and my daughter Sophia Gray to be equally divided between them share and share alike And lastly I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my son in law the said Joshua Gray Executor of this my Will and do hereby revoke all former Wills and Testamentary Instruments heretofore by me made In Witness whereof I the said John Colvert the Testator have hereunto set my hand and seal the Thirtieth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seven

Signed sealed published and declared by the said John Colvert the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of who in his presence , at his request, and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses

On the eighth day of January 1819 Joshua Gray the executor named in the within Will was then sworn well and faithfully to perform the same according to Law; and that the deceased at the time of his death was not possessed of a personal Estate to the amount of Fifty Pounds
