Richard Church 1814

This is the last Will and Testament of me Richard Church of Potterspury in the county of Northampton yeoman being of sound memory and understanding First I direct that all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses shall be paid And I give and devise all those my two messuages cottages or tenements gardens hereditaments and premises with their appurtenances situate and being in Potterspury aforesaid and now in the several tenures or occupation John Lovell and John King And also all that piece and parcel of land situate lying and being in the open field of Paulerspury in the said county of Northampton and containing eleven acres or thereabouts and now in the tenure or occupation of John Newman And all other my real estate whatsoever and wheresoever unto my uncle William Church of Potterspury aforesaid wheelright and Mary his wife and their assigns for and during the term of their joint natural lives and the life of the longer liver of them And from and after the decease of the survivor of them the said William Church and Mary his wife then I give and devise the same unto the four children of my said uncle William Church namely John Church William Church Elizabeth Church and Richard Church their heirs and assigns forever to take as Tenants in Common and not as joint Tenants And I give and bequeath all and singular my monies securities for money rents and arrears of rents debts chattels and effects and all other my personal estate whatsoever and whersoever subject to the payment of my debts funeral and testamentary expenses aforesaid unto my said uncle William Church to and for his own use and benefit And lastly I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said uncle William Church executor of this my Will and do hereby revoke all other Wills and Testamentary Instraments heretofore by me made In Witness whereof I the said Richard church have hereunto set my hand and seal the twenty fifth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fourteen

On the twenty seventh day of June 1814, William Church, the executor named in the within Will, was then sworn well and faithfully to perform the same according to Law; and that the deceased, at the time of his death, was not possessed of a personal estate to the amount of £20
