This is the Last Will and Testament of Richard Clarke the elder of Potterspury in the County of Northampton
I give and bequeath to my daughter Ann Clarke my house garden &c situate in Potterspury to her own use absolutely, subject to her paying to my son Richard Clarke the sum of twelve pounds ten shillings being half the value of the house & garden when the mortgage is paid which the aforesaid Ann Clarke agrees to pay I also give & bequeath all my goods & chattels to be equally divided between my daughter Ann Clarke & my son Richard Clarke subject to them paying all my Funeral Expenses & Just Debts & I nominate & appoint my said daughter Ann sole executrix of this my last will whereof I here unto set my hand and seal the 9th. day of April 1845
Signed by the said Richard Clarke the elder as and for his last Will & Testament in the presence of us at the same time who in his presence at his request & in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses

On the ninth day of August 1845 Ann Clarke of Potterspury in the County of Northampton Spinster the sole executrix named in the aforegoing Will of Richard Clarke the elder late of Potterspury aforesaid Labourer deceased was then sworn well and faithfully to perform and fulfil the same and that the said deceased at the time of his death (which happened on the 11th. day of April 1845) was not possed of goods chattels and credits of the value of Twenty Pounds
