Thomas Holman 1737

In the name of God Amen, I Thomas Holman of Potterspury in the county of Northampton yeoman being weak in body but of sound and disposing mind and memory praised be God do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following , (that is to say) First I commend my soul to God the giver of it hoping through the merits of Jesus Christ my redeemer for remission of my sins. And my body I commit to the earth to be decently interred at the discretion of my executrix herein after named And as touching such worldly estate as it has pleased God to endow me with I give and dispose thereof as follows; First after all my debts and funeral charges are satisfied and discharged I give and devise unto my beloved wife Elizabeth Holman to her own proper use and behoofe all my goods chattels lands and tenements together with all my monies leases papers writings and the benefits thereof and all my debts unto me or that shall hereafter become both real and personal of what nature soever and wheresoever they be for ever, and to do with the same as she my said wife Elizabeth Holman shall think proper. And lastly I do here nominate and appoint my said wife Elizabeth Holman sole executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all other and former Wills by me at any time hereto fore made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this eighteenth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and thirty six
