In the name of God Amen I Anne Nichles of Potterspury in the county of Northampton widow do make this my last Will and Testament as follows (viz) First I give devise and bequeath all that messuage cottage or tenement in Potters Pury aforesaid wherein I now inhabit and dwell with the orchard yard garden and all other appurtenances thereto belonging and also all that messuage cottage tenement in Potter Pury aforesaid late in the tenure of Mary Walker widow and now of Sarah Davy and also all other my messuages cottages lands tenements and hereitaments whatsoever or wheresoever unto John Barrow of Potterspury aforesaid gentleman and Richard Browne of Yardley Gobion in the parish of Potters Pury aforesaid yeoman their heirs and assigns for ever to the use and behoofe of the said John Barrow and Richard Browne their heirs and assigns for ever nevertheless to and upon the trust and for the intent and purposes hereinafter mentioned limited expenses and declared that is to say upon trust and confidence in them the said John Barrow and Richard Browne reposed and to the intent and purpose that they the said John Barrow and Richard Browne and the survivor of them his heirs or assigns shall and may from time to time at all times during the life of my daughter Mary Godfrey pay all the rents issues and profits of the said premises to my said daughter Mary Godfrey or such other person or persons and for such uses intents purposes as the said Mary Godfrey shall by any note or writing to be signed by her notwithstanding her coverture from time to time direct or appoint being my intent and meaning that the same shall remain and be to and for the private and separate use and benefit of my daughter Mary Godfrey wherewith her husband John Godfrey shall not intermeddle or have any controlling power to intermeddle there in any wise And upon further trust and confidence that after the decease of the said Mary Godfrey the said John Barrow and Richard Browne or the survivor of them his heirs or assigns shall convey all the aforesaid premises all their estate and interest therein to my granddaughter Mary Godfrey and to her heirs and assigns forever Item I do give to my granddaughter Mary Godfrey the sum of ten pounds to be paid within six months after my decease Item I give and bequeath all the residue and remainder of my goods chattels and personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever my debts and funeral charges being first paid and discharged unto the said John Barrow and Richard Browne nevertheless upon the trust and for the intents and purposes hereinafter mentioned that is to say upon trust and confidence and to the intent and purpose that the said John Barrow and Richard Browne or the survivor of them his executors or administrators shall from time to time pay or dispose of the same or any part or parts thereof to my said daughter Mary Godfrey or to such other person or persons and for such use s intents and purposes as my said daughter Mary Godfrey shall by any note or notes writing or writings to be by her signed whether covert or sole from time to time direct or appoint and in case the whole shall not have been disposed of in the lifetime of my daughter Mary Godfrey then and in such case I will and appoint that such part thereof as shall remain at the time of the death of my said daughter Mary Godfrey shall be paid and disposed of to such person or persons at such time or times and by such shares and proportions as my said daughter Mary Godfrey shall by her last will and Testament in writing or by any writing purporting her last Will and Testament whether covert or sole direct or appoint. It being my intent and meaning that the sense shall be for the private and separate use benefit and advantage of my said daughter Mary Godfrey and shall be entirely at her at her own disposal whether covert or sole and that her husband John Godfrey shall not intermeddle or have any controlling power to intermeddle therein in any wise And for want of such direction or appointment as aforesaid I will and direct that the same shall be paid to my said granddaughter Mary Godfrey or to her executors or administrators Item I further will direct and appoint that the said John Barrow and Richard Browne their heirs executors and administrators shall be repaid and reimbursed out of my rents issues and profits of my real estate or out of my personal estate all such charges damages expenses or disbursements whatsoever which they any or either of them shall sustain expend or be any ways put unto in the execution or management of the trust hereby in them reposed and shall not be liable or charged with or for the receipts or disbursements the one of the other nor for any more monies than they shall respectively actually receive and I do revoke and make void all former wills heretofore by me made In witness a whereof I have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and seal this third day of July in the second year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the second by the grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the faith &c1728
