Will of Thomas Robinson, Innholder of Pottespury, 1766
In the Name of God Amen I Thomas Robinson of Potterspury in the County of Northampton Innholder being weak in Body but of Sound Mind and Memory (blessed be to God) Do this twenty sixth Day of October in the Year of our Lord One Thousand seven Hundred and Sixty six make and publish this my last Will and Testament in Manner following (that is to say) I do hereby give unto my beloved Wife Margaret Robinson all that my Messuage or dwelling House wherein I now dwell with all and every Appurtenances for ever And I do hereby give unto my said wife all my Personal Estate and Effects whatsoever or wherever and of what Nature Sort or kind soever I do hereby give unto my Son Thomas Robinson One Shilling to be paid to him six Months next after my Decease And I do hereby make constitute and Ordain my said Wife Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament she paying all my just Dedts and Funeral Expences and Charges of Proving this my Will and I do hereby declare this alone to be my last will In Witness whereof I the said Thomas Robinson the Testator have to this my last Will and Testament set my Hand and Seal the Day and Year first above written
