Will of Hercules Saule of Potterspury, 1665

In the name of god amen the Thirteenth day of May in the yeare of ower lord god one Thowsan six hundred sixtie Five I Harcalas Saulle of Potterspurie in the Countie of Northampton Tallow Chandeller Being sick in bodie but of good and parfect memorie thankes be to almightie god doe ordaine & make this my last wills & testaments in maner & Forme Following Revokeing all other Former will and wills whatsoever and this onlie to be my last will & testament and non other First I bequeth my sole to almightie god owr heavenly father and my bodie to be buried in such Conveiginent place as by my Executors hereafter named shalbe thought fit Item I give and bequeth unto Marie my wife the howse where in I now live For and dureing hir naturall life she not making any wast of any the premises and after hir decese to Thomas Saulle my Nephew and to his heires For ever Item I give and bequeth unto Marie Saulle my wife one Cottage or Tenement in Potterspurie afforesaid For and dureing hir naturale life She make ing no wast bit keepeing the same in good Repair and after hir decese to Thomas Saulle my Nephew & his heires for ever Item I give and bequeth unto Christopher Saulle my Nephew ten shillings to be paid by my executors within six month after my decese Item I give & bequeth unto Beniamine Saule my Nephew the some of ten shillings to be paid by me Executors within six monthes after my decese Item I give & beqeth to my loveing friend Richard Scrivener twelve pence to buy him a paire of gloves Allthe Rest of my goodes and Chattels my debtes being paid and Funeral discharged I give and bequeth unto Marie saule my wife and Thomas Saulle my Nephew whom I make and ordaine the sole & full executors of this my last [will] and testament In witnes where of I the said hercalas saule have here unto set my hand & seal the day and yeare first above written
