Will of John Short of Potterspury, Carpenter 1618
Memorandum that John Short late of Potterspurrie in the Countye of Northampton Carpenter deceassed, did make his last will and testament Nuncupatyve, the second day of maie Anno domini 1618. to this effect in manner and forme followenge That is to say; First the sayd John Short did commend his soule into the handes of almightie god Verilie beleevenge that through the merrites death and passion of our lord and savioour Jesus Christ he should be saved and his bodie to be buried in the Churchyard of Potterspurie aforesaid Item hee die gove and bequeath all his goodes & Chattells mooveable and unmooveable, unto Elizabeth his wife whome he die nominate and ordayne and make the Executrix of this his last will and Testament nuncupative
