In the name of God Amen First I bequeath my soul into the hands of Almighty my maker my body to be buried in the churchyard of Potterspurye First I make my wife whole executrix of all my estate Item I give and bequeath to my son Richard Smith the sum of eight pounds Item I give and bequeath to my son William Smith the sum of eight pounds Item I give and bequeath to my son Thomas Smith the sum of eight pounds Item I give and bequeath to my son Henry Smith the sum of twelve pence Item I give and bequeath to my son Robert Smith my little Close of free ground after the death of my wife the Close lies next a Close of Cutbeard Tassells The Close is commonly called by the name of Bushbies Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Dorothy wife to John Worrington twelve pence Dated the 12th. of January 1635 in the presence of Christopher Saule Thomas Smith senior his mark
