Agnes Yerle 1546
In the name of God Amen in the year of our Lord God 1546 the 19th. day of April I Agnes Yerle of the parish of Saint Nicholas of Est perye otherwise called Potters perye within the diocese of Peterborough being sick in body and whole of mind make my Will and Testament after this manner and form here following First I bequeath my soul unto Almighty God and to our blessed Lady Saint Mary and to all the Holy company of heaven and my body to be buried within the churchyard of saint Nicholas of Est perye and also I give to the mother church of Peterborough 2d and also I give to the High alter of Saint Nicholas 4d Item to the rood light 4d Item to the bells 4d and to the torches 8d Item for five masses of the five wounds four every mass 6d a piece to the priest Item I give to John Wherlyt and to Nicholas Yerle my son an acre of barley at shaw[nes] Item unto John Herle and Agnes Godfraye an acre of barley at lamcott And I give unto the said Agnes Godfraye a mattress that she did lie on with a lyorden sheet and another sheet better than it I give unto Jane Godfray the first calf that comes on the cow that Ryc Yerle my son has and I give unto John Wherley a plate and also I give unto Ryc Yerle my son a gelding [illeg] and cow and the best sheet that I have and I give unto Rych Herele the younger a plate The residue of my goods not bequeathed and given I give and bequeath them unto Thomas Yerle and Ryc Yerle his brother The which I make charge my lawful executors of this my last Will and Testament they to dispose as they think best for the wealth of my soul and all Christian souls these being witnesses Rychard Goodmane John Worlytt John Browne with other men
